6 Steps on How to Submit Your Articles to Article Directories

If you want to send traffic to your website then the best way to do it is by submitting your articles to directories. Many of these directories will accept your article for free - it won't cost you a penny.
If you ask any webmaster what is the most important thing they would like for there website it would be exposure to many people. That is what article directories can do for your website.
Article submissions to directories work in both ways. If you're a newbie just getting started this is a great way to let everyone know you're a newbie on the block and gain exposure by submitting your articles. If you're a seasoned pro and have the know how already by submitting artless will gain more exposure to your website.
Here are some tips to help you before you start submitting to the article directories.
1. If you're going to start article marketing on a serious basis then you need to write your own words not someone Else's. Writing your own words from you and not anyone else is the only way to write articles. You can re-write someone Else's articles as long as you write the article with your own words.
2. Keywords are important when writing articles so when you write your masterpiece make sure it has keywords that relate to what your writing and your keywords are in the heading of your article and the body salt and peppered thought your article. This will make it easier for the search engines to index your articles.
3. The article description is very important too because the article directory editors will use this to index your site so your description must relate to what is in your article otherwise its going to useless to you.
Regardless of which directory that your going to submit the article too make sure you submit the same description for each directory.
4. Be careful choosing your categories when your submitting your articles some directories won't have the exact category that your looking for so you must look for the next best category you can. Some directories will have exactly what your looking for in the category. The most important thing is you choose the right one.
5. When your joining the directories keep a note of which ones you join and which your going to submit too. The reason for this is you could easily submit your article twice to the same directories then you will be look upon as a spammer. So keep an eye on those directories that your submitting to.
6. You might have to wait a little time before your article is uploaded to the directory be patient with this. Once you have posted them tick them off your list and move on the next one.
Summary: Article directories are great for generating traffic to your website over time but be aware that this will take some time before it starts having an impact on your website. Be patient with article directory submission because you might not see any benefit for six months maybe longer, if you want to get your articles indexed quicker you will have to pay to do that.
